Today is "Global Food Crisis" day. A day we gather together and pray for the food shortages all over the world. We all know of the food crisis in the 80's in Ethiopia. I have many DVD's such as Live AID where the proceeds went to Ethiopia at the time. The special features were so sad as children starving begged for food until they no longer could draw breath. 1,000's upon 1,000's of people everywhere trying to find one ounce of food. Unfortunately that is the way it is all over the world in different areas. The company "Compassion" states that approximately every 7 seconds a child dies from hunger related causes. Now to me that is amazing that in this day and age of Wii's and Internet, laptops, satellite dishes, that children still go to bed hungry. Honestly, it breaks my heart. I pray God will hear our prayers and help this food shortage.
As for those of you asking about my son, Caleb, he still needs prayers as we learn exactly how in depth his learning disabilities are. He is currently being tested for dyslexia, and his "melt-downs" are coming more and more. Please pray for him and the specialists testing him.
1John 3:18 Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.
